JOB DESCRIPTION

Partial Job Description 1) Manage and at times, perform day to day operations of the Medical Information call centre 2) Direct client interaction and involvement 3) Determine staffing levels for each client project 4) Assist the Business Development staff to close new business opportunities 5) Manage and perform daily functions of the call centre, including providing verbal and written clinical as well as technical information to internal and external customers as it relates to clients? products 6) Facilitate intake and documentation of adverse events and product complaints as they relate to clients? products 7) Conduct literature reviews and provide analyses around potential impact to business 8) Work closely with Project Manager to provide assistance with key deliverables and activities in support of multiple clinical settings 9) Provide clinical support to Sales and Marketing, Scientific Affairs and other departments 10) Develop and/or participate in training programs 11) Support customers at major scientific meetings 12) Assist Project Manager in preparing and communicating budget matters 13) Assist Project Manager in developing Clinical FAQs to be used by the Medical Information healthcare professional 14) Develop key literature surveillance output to ensure timely communication of key data across client departments 15) Train medical information staff on relevant data and processes 16) Research and report medical information to the Medical and Marketing & Sales departments 17) Oversee and develop the Medical Information database and working practices 18) Answer medical and pharmaceutical questions from internal and external parties 19) Provide active support of various departments by means of advice and information via relevant sources 20) Stay current with medical and pharmaceutical information 21) Create and maintain internal and external advice system through an optimal information distribution and support 22) Access technology needs to meet current and future client requirements 23) Assist with the development and maintenance of Standard Operating Procedures

CRITICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Qualifications / Skills Required

  1) Professional degree of PharmD, PhD or MD

  2) Minimum 5+ years of biotech/pharmaceutical and/or clinical experience

  3) Prior experience in medical information/drug information within the pharmaceutical industry

  4) Ability to manage a large number of complex projects simultaneously

  5) Possess a service-oriented approach

  6) Individual with an entrepreneurial spirit with flexibility and proactiveness towards changing clients' needs

  7) Analytical expertise in understanding complex issues and their consequences

  8) Excellent questioning and listening skills with ability to analyze responses

  9) Proven scientific literature analysis and evaluation skills

  10) Organizational, project management and technical writing skills

  11) Strong verbal and written communication skills along with ability to work in a matrix environment across multiple teams required

  12) Open and clear communication skills

  13) Computer literacy
