A leading company in the healthcare industry is currently seeking an accomplished and highly skilled Vice President of Provider Relations to lead their team. The role will be challenging but also highly rewarding and this leader will be a key voice in the company. For the right executive, this is a fantastic opportunity with great growth prospects. Key duties include:

1) Oversee development, expansion and maintenance of PPO network coverage, to include new provider identification, solicitations and negotiations, as well as client/case-specific provider affiliations
2) Ensure adherence to established provider fee schedules and recommend changes as appropriate
3) Supervise inpatient rate negotiations and approval of inpatient contracts
4) Ensure accurate and complete process for initial and ongoing credentialing of preferred provider organization providers, in accordance with established policies and national accreditation standards and maintain current and accurate provider files and preferred provider organization listing
5) Ensure adequate QA monitoring of providers in compliance with policies, to include onsite inspection and ongoing performance and credentialing review
6) Ensure the ongoing development and maintenance of a computerized provider management system adequate for tracking utilization of resources, credentialing status and claims processing
7) Assist clinical division, accounting and marketing divisions as requested in support services related to specific or potential client contracts and Assist in preparation of proposals as requested
8) Participate in ongoing marketing and provider relations efforts, as directed
9) Participate in special projects, ongoing research and public relations efforts as appropriate
10) Maintain information on competition, provider rates by region or city, national statistics and relevant changes in the field
11) Make recommendations on product line enhancements and prepare reports as requested


  • 1) A university degree is required. Although all candidates are welcome and encouraged to apply, preference will be given to those with degrees in a relevant field
    2) Appropriate full-time work experience is mandatory (no students or fresh graduates please)
    3) Recent experience in the healthcare industry is strongly preferred
    4) Preference will be given to candidates with recent experience in provider relations
