Our client, a leading pharmaceutical company, is currently seeking an accomplished Manufacturing Engineer/Manager to join the team. Here is an overview of the role:

1) Manage the manufacturing team including leadership, training, mentoring and developing staff 
2) Lead and direct daily, weekly and monthly production schedules (prepared by operations) 
3) Lead and facilitate problem solving among team members
4) Lead and direct verification and validation protocols, facility internal audits, risk assessments and implement production process improvements
5) Prepare and support documentation related to manufacturing such as device master records, component specifications, standard operating procedures and work instructions
6) Lead and direct production staff to ensure quality products are produced and delivered on time and meet specifications
7) Supervise product standards and enforce ISO 13485 quality management system
8) Review, analyze and report the work performance of the production team
9) Provide engineering leadership and support for all manufacturing processes
10) Provide engineering leadership and support for automation equipment including dealing with mechanical and PLC/HMI issues
11) Design, develop and/or purchase fixtures, tooling and equipment as needed for manufacturing, testing methods or other needs
12) Author or assist in writing FMEAs, control plans and process flow diagrams
13) Provide engineering support for non-conforming product (in-process and incoming), complaint investigations and corrective action/preventative action program tasks
14) Select and maintain equipment, including preventative maintenance, when required
15) Coordinate maintenance and repair of machines to avoid downtime and delays and ensure production process and machinery are in compliance with specifications and safety standards 
16) Review recommended process changes to ensure process is appropriate with operating goals
17) Participate in design reviews for new product development and design/process changes
18) Work with management effectively to execute the policies and goals of the organization
19) Perform other tasks as required by management


  • 1) A university degree is required. Although all candidates are welcome and encouraged to apply, preference will be given to those with degrees in a relevant field
    2) Appropriate full-time work experience is mandatory (no students or fresh graduates please)
    3) Recent experience in the pharmaceutical industry is strongly preferred
    4) Preference will be given to candidates with recent experience in manufacturing engineering management
