Position Summary:
The Clinical Science Liaison is expected to coordinate overall technical support for ALK customers which includes dissemination of technical information, documentation of all technical interactions, and development and implementation of improvements for both internal and external scientific communication.
Responsibilities include, and are not limited to the following:
  • Customer Technical Support & Communication: Assist in the Company’s overall scientific support efforts; the Clinical Science Liaison is responsible for responding to customer technical inquiries via phone, email, and fax and fully documenting the appropriate responses in a compliant manner. Assist in developing technical support materials including technical memos, brochures, and newsletter articles. Assist in maintaining ticket-based system for medical inquiry tracking and FAQ tools.
  • Technical Sales Support: Respond to medical information requests from sales support and inside & outside sales consultants. Travel as needed to support Sales on account visits and regional and national tradeshows. Provide consultation on account conversions to ensure seamless transition to Company’s products.
  • Technical Education: The Clinical Science Liaison will assist in the development and management of medical scientific education materials and content for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Marketing Support: Provide feedback on customer perceptions on allergy immunotherapy and current scientific trends in the marketplace.


  • Essential Experience:
    • Registered Nurse or Clinical/Scientific Bachelor,s Degree preferably with a focus/specialty in allergic disease
    • Pharmaceutical or Biotechnology scientific/medical marketing experience a plus
    The ideal candidate must also:
    • Possess superior communication skills, analytical skills and be highly self-motivated
    • Have substantial experience interacting with customers in a life science industry
    • Be efficient at time management and self-direction as this role may be offered as being offered as a remote position to the appropriate candidate, in addition to the option of being based in our Round Rock office
    • Be able to analyze and critically discuss information and data from scientific journals and clinical studies
    • Be able to communicate effectively to physicians and non-physicians and abide by industry,s marketing compliance regulations
    • Be highly organized and detail-oriented with the ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines
    • Be a team player with strong interpersonal skills
    • Have proven proficiency at handling customer inquiries and complaints. Experience with customer relationship programs is preferredMust be willing to travel up to 10%
